Logistic Force, a full-service HR service provider for the transport and logistics sectors, acquired the activities of Edco on 1 August 2025. Edco is a Belgian specialist focused on the training and staffing of truck drivers and logistics personnel. The company operates from locations in Genk and Zulte Waregem and was founded 15 years ago by Frank van Langendonck.

Frank van Langendonck, Director of Edco and active in the transport sector from a young age, started his entrepreneurial career in 2000. Over the years, the company has expanded significantly with a variety of activities and labels, including its own driving school and an internal training centre. In addition to various driving courses (including categories C, CE, D and DE), facilitated through a fleet of more than 15 vehicles, Edco also offers temporary staffing services for the transport and logistics sector through its label Edco Jobs.

Edco’s growth plan versus McLaren Racing

In 2023, Van Langendonck had completed Edco’s growth plan for Belgium, but at the same time a new challenge emerged: the breakthrough of his son Dries as a racing driver at McLaren Racing. Meanwhile, Logistic Force had already been actively searching in Belgium for a suitable acquisition candidate for some time. These developments came together and led to the first contact between the two parties in 2024. During the initial discussions, both parties quickly discovered that their ambitions and core values strongly aligned. “It soon became clear that not only the core business fits seamlessly, but that our standards, values and shared ambition to grow the sector through training and flexible staffing also match perfectly. This shared vision forms the basis for the acquisition and the confidence that Logistic Force can ensure continuity and realize the intended growth,” , says Frank.

Martin van Dijk, CEO of Logistic Force, adds: “With the strategic acquisition of Edco, we are creating a new platform outside the Dutch market and at the same time taking the first step towards a leading market position in the Benelux. A growth plan is ready, which the new Country Director Belgium will further operationalize together with the existing Edco team.” Frank van Langendonck and his partner Ester will remain closely involved with the company in an advisory role.

The passion of sons Tom and Dries clearly runs in the family: Frank’s old go-kart still has a prominent place at the Genk location.

Logistic Force as a total solutions provider through recent acquisitions of VIA Logistics Professionals and UBrands

Edco marks the sixth acquisition in recent years, during which Logistic Force has increasingly developed into a full-service HR provider for transport and logistics. “With our buy-and-build strategy, Logistic Force focuses not only on international expansion but also on broadening and deepening our services. Our goal is to cover all facets of transport and the logistics chain and grow into an even more complete HR service provider for our clients,”, saysVan Dijk.

Today, partly due to earlier acquisitions of specialized organizations such as VIA Logistics Professionals and UBrands, Logistic Force offers a wide range of services in addition to staffing and training. These include secondment, interim recruitment, consultancy, facilitating training programs, and optimizing and transforming business processes throughout the entire supply chain, aimed at both mid-level and senior professionals.

Martin van Dijk concludes: “We are far from finished with our acquisition-driven growth strategy, as we are still in discussions with many interesting parties that can further enhance the quality and depth of our services.”
