Are you a Solutions Engineer interested in furthering your career with an exciting opportunity to join our customer focused account team in Eemshaven? The Solutions Engineer will develop and implement operational process improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for developing cost/benefit analysis for new processes and projects and for delivering bottom-line results.
You will work in an informal and dynamic environment with motivated colleagues. In this position, you will report to the Program Manager. You will frequently have contact with your business equivalents at other sites and staff members. Furthermore you are responsible for the following activities: • Lead analysis activities and requirement assessment, strategic alignment and projects scoping to meet business objectives and deliver quantifiable results through process improvement initiatives • Develop and communicate a methodology which leads to continuous process improvement (Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.) • Study and analyze current processes, determine their effectiveness, and recommend and implement strategies for improvement • Advocate for continuous improvement by promoting a strong teamwork atmosphere and a community of process improvement practice • Root cause analysis, process development and documentation • Facility design and equipment specification • Work with IT team to identify and document new and enhanced IT functionality
• Bachelor`s degree or equivalent (Supply Chain / Logistics) • 3+ Years of engineering experience at operations / warehousing related work; 5+ years experience is strongly preferred • Clear understanding of data, warehouse and supply chain, and business concepts • Ability to deal with complex, short-time frame solutions • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills • Comfortable performing analytics with large data set • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required expert level Excel skills required (Power Query and Power Pivot) • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written • Prepared to travel (> 20%) • Ability to understand WMS-systems thoroughly (Super user level) is a plus
